Moving in December
You recently bought a beautiful house or are planning to move into a new rental property. Congratulations! You would like to move everything as soon as possible, before Christmas or New Year's Eve, so that you can enjoy your new home these days.
How exactly do you approach this? In this blog from Moving company We will tell you right away how you can move quickly without forgetting important things. Read on quickly and discover our handy tips!
Your affairs in order
The most important thing is that you have all your paperwork in order before the move. Think of converting subscriptions, passing on your new address details to the municipality and other authorities and having the financing of your new home in order. Also fill the holes in the walls of your current home in advance, so that you do not have to do this after the clearing out.
Packing your things
You want to bring your precious possessions to your new home in good condition. Packing can be a long job, but it is not difficult. What you need are sturdy moving boxes, duct tape, padding material, markers and garbage bags. You can easily transport your clothes in garbage bags. Make sure you have enough boxes for your belongings, so that you will not be faced with unpleasant surprises later. You can often
find good boxes at Ikea or Gamma, although the banana boxes from supermarkets are also very suitable. These are also free. Write on each box what items the box contains, so that you can easily place the boxes in the right space later.
Other tips
Do you have electronic devices such as laptops or computers at home? If so, take them with you in the original packaging if you still have it. If you no longer have the packaging at home, use a moving box and ensure there is enough padding. Do you have flammable products such as aerosols? Carefully pack these in a separate box. This will prevent the products from exploding or causing damage to other products.
