Pancras-west is a municipality in the center of Leiden, Netherlands. Pancras-West is located between Oude Rijn, Nieuwe Rijn and Hooigracht. The area east of the Hooigracht is called Pancras-oost. Both blocks are named after the churches of Sint-Pancras or Hooglandse, which are characteristic of this part of the city center. These communities are located on the westernmost end of Value Island, the land between the two Rhine rivers.
