Most people really look forward to it, but some people underestimate the work and effort that packing moving boxes can take. It is usually a much bigger job than you expected. There are many things that you have not thought of yourself, but that do have an influence on packing and moving boxes. If Moving Company Direct we are specialized in moving. We are happy to give you some practical tips for packing moving boxes.
Make a list
Many people think they can do it by heart. However, people who make a moving list are generally more relaxed than those who don’t. The checklist also makes it clearer for you and you won’t forget anything. You can provide clear tasks, a clear structure of the packing work and if you complete it several times, you know for sure that you already have everything.
Transparency is key
A clear organization is important. For example, by completing the packing process per room in your house. If you do this, you will forget almost nothing. Because you maintain an overview in this way, you are less stressed and can therefore unpack your things more easily. It is also useful to note the contents of each box. Fill in the moving boxes practical in. This may seem obvious, but many people forget or do not think about it. Many people are either too rushed or too excited when packing boxes. As a result, many people arrange boxes in a way that you do not want.
Structuring
It is also important not to overfill the box. You think you are saving space, but this increases the chance of the box breaking. And you definitely do not want that. If it breaks in the middle of the street or in a moving truck, it can damage your belongings. Put things that belong together together. It is important that you put these things together. Some appliances have attached accessories and some appliances have special nuts, bolts and screws that are needed for installation. Keep these items together at all times. Otherwise, you can only lose them later.
Use filling materials for fragile items
Fragile items, such as plates and glasses, are more likely to break when placed together in a box. It is important to always use filling materials to pack these items for moving. This includes foam and foam packaging. You can also use towels to pack your items. If you use more than one, you can save a lot of packing material and waste.
Prevent leaking bottles
There is nothing more annoying than a wet moving box. You often do not realize it, but humidity can make moving boxes more vulnerable. If you are carrying liquid items, you run the risk of leakage. If you have a bottle with liquid, put a plastic wrap around it. This will prevent the bottle from leaking.
